Avoid the Drama! Who NOT to Bring Bridal Shopping

December 29, 2024 Ali Wilson

Who NOT to Bring Wedding Dress Shopping

One of the biggest decisions a bride has to make when shopping for her dream wedding dress is who to bring to the shopping appointment. For some brides it’s an easy choice, for others it can get complicated. Here’s some of our best advice when it comes to who NOT to bring.

Mistake #1, Bringing…

Too Many People

Having too many people along can create a mixture of too many opinions and make the decision process overwhelming. It’s better to have a smaller group of supportive individuals than a large crowd with conflicting views. Bring a few people who you know will be supportive of your choices!

Mistake #2, Bringing…

People Who are Critical

If you know that someone is likely to be critical or overly opinionated, it may not be the best choice to bring them along. You want to feel confident and excited about your dress choice, not second-guessing yourself.

Mistake #3, Bringing…

People Who Don’t Understand Your Style

If someone’s fashion tastes are drastically different from yours, it could lead to frustration. While a different perspective can be valuable, make sure you’re bringing people who understand and respect your sense of style.

At the end of the day…

Bring a few close friends or family members who will support you and be understanding of your needs as a bride. No one is entitled to sharing this experience with you so be sure to only bring the most loving and supportive people with you to your appointment.
